This page provides a quick reference for BBS and Chat settings. It is NOT a how-to! Configuration Map for BBS and CHAT.Go to the node config page at When you select a link, you’ll need to log in. BBS: Select Mail Mgmt.Configuration: BBS and Op callsign, BBS Application number Users: Add & list every known user of the BBS system (essentially all node operators) and set their access level (User or Sysop at this node). Specify Namem Callsign and Home BBS. If a user is not listed here, the BBS won’t know what to do with a Message addressed to them. Forwarding: For each User, you tell the BBS where to send their Messages. Important is to specify their “AT” groups and the connect script for their home BBS. Also set forwarding interval, allow immediate sending of new messages and incoming connect timeout. Welcome messages & prompts can be left as default, but all messages sent by the BBS when interacting with a user are set here. ALL OTHER TABS are fine with their defaults, but feel free to explore and research (online) what they do. CHAT: Select Chat Mgmt.Configuration: Here every Chat participant in the entire network must be listed. Enter each user (except yourself) on their own line, using the format: "Zxxx09:callsign&SSID-for-their-chat-node" For the SPROING Network as of September 15, 2024, all users are: (you can copy & paste this)
